Easthampstead Park deserves an arrival experience that feels as extraordinary at night as it does by day. Our masterplan creates a single, coherent lighting language that begins at the front entrance and flows seamlessly through the barrier gateway, along the 800‑metre driveway and around the full perimeter of the estate. Warm‑white, heritage-inspired fittings ensure every part of the journey feels elegant, welcoming and unmistakably “Easthampstead Park”.
The entrance is redefined with black flagpoles, painted and straightened estate fencing, warm‑white bollards and soft tree lighting, establishing the first note of a confident nocturnal identity. At the gateway, four twin-armed Victorian lampposts form the punctuation point — both the full stop of the external approach and the capital letter of the long driveway that follows.
Down the drive, perfectly spaced Victorian lanterns at 25‑metre centres create ceremony and rhythm, supported by uplighted tree clusters that give depth and structure to the landscape after dark. Approaching the hotel, the façade is carefully washed in warm white, the central triple‑armed lantern greets guests on axis, and twin lanterns frame the front door so the house appears to open its arms in welcome.
The same architectural language continues throughout the rear gardens, herbaceous borders, terraces and pond garden — always warm, always elegant, always consistent. Every fitting and every beam works together to elevate the evening experience of the estate.
A complete maintenance and PPM strategy ensures this identity never fades. Lamps are never out, alignments stay true, vegetation is managed, and the estate retains its premium appearance night after night.
Area 1 – Entrance & Identity
The arrival sequence begins with three black flagpoles, warm‑white uplighting, freshly painted estate fencing and a line of discreet bollards. The front signs are supported by soft tree lighting that adds depth and makes the entrance feel deliberate and welcoming. This creates the first note in Easthampstead Park’s new nocturnal identity — confident, calm and beautifully coherent.
Area 2 – Gateway
The barrier gateway becomes a feature in its own right. Four twin‑armed Victorian lampposts — two in front of the barrier and two behind — frame the drive and establish the threshold to the long processional avenue. The gateway is the punctuation point in the narrative: the end of the external world and the beginning of the estate’s curated lighting journey.
Optional Enhancement: The barrier arms may be repainted in black with warm‑white LED under‑lighting and fitted with automatic controls so the entrance feels intuitive and welcoming for guests as they approach.
Area 2 – 800m Drive
From the gateway, a perfectly aligned line of Victorian single‑headed lanterns runs down the left‑hand side of the drive at exact 25‑metre centres. Their rhythm guides guests naturally towards the hotel. Behind them, trees are uplighted in eight structured clusters, giving the long approach ceremony, depth and a sense of grandeur.
Area 3 – Façade
At the end of the drive, the house reveals itself through warm‑white architectural lighting. A triple‑armed lantern stands proudly on the axis, with twin lanterns framing the front door. The façade and its wings glow as though the house is opening its arms to welcome every guest, creating the defining moment of the entire arrival journey.
Area 4 & 5 – Rear Gardens, Terraces & Pond
The lighting language established at the entrance continues throughout the rear gardens. Herbaceous borders, terraces and the pond garden are gently lit in warm white, creating intimate spaces that feel both natural and refined. The scene remains consistent with the estate’s identity, linking front and rear into one harmonious whole.
Area 6 & 7 – Perimeter, Paths & Herbaceous Borders
Warm‑white uplighting accentuates planting structure, paths and boundary lines, enhancing both safety and aesthetic appeal. These areas are tied into the same architectural palette so that guests experience one cohesive estate, no matter where they walk.

Left Octagonal Wing & Turret

This zone covers the full left-hand octagonal wing of Easthampstead Park, including the turret, stone bays and architectural recesses. The lighting scheme enhances the depth, texture and proportions of this distinctive feature, providing warm-white illumination that aligns seamlessly with the entrance frontage and right-hand wing to create a fully balanced architectural elevation.
Right-Hand Wing & Orangery Elevation

This zone covers the full right-hand wing of Easthampstead Park, including the orangery-style elevation, stone bays and upper detailing. The lighting scheme is designed to mirror the balance and elegance of the left-hand wing while celebrating the softer architectural lines of this façade, ensuring a unified and refined front elevation across the entire building.
Stained-Glass Feature Window & Stone Surround

A discreet twin-wire lighting system installed within each stained-glass recess, using four compact warm-white spot heads to wash light gently across the glass. The scheme enhances colour, texture and heritage detail while keeping all fittings slim, minimal and visually unobtrusive.
Forecourt Island & Heritage Lanterns

heritage arrival sequence featuring a Victorian triple-head lamp post on the forecourt island, two single lamp posts framing the entrance, and dedicated warm-white uplighting to the flagpole. This scheme strengthens the architectural symmetry of the frontage, improves visibility for vehicles and guests, and delivers a refined, coherent welcome that ties naturally into the lighting of Zones A–D.
Entrance Tree-Line & Architectural Illumination

Warm-white uplighting to the first tree-line and approach road beyond the forecourt, creating a gentle, elegant transition from the architectural frontage into the wider estate. Two architectural tree-uplighting kits illuminate the mature canopies, supported by recessed flagpole uplighting to present a cohesive and welcoming beginning to the driveway sequence.
Driveway Bollard Replacement

All bollards are supplied through a dedicated 230–250V SWA feed, routed behind the estate fencing in shallow trenching with full reinstatement under the PC allowances. Each unit is mounted on a secure foundation with integrated access for maintenance. The warm-white output (2700K–3000K) ensures continuity with the tree illumination in Zone 2A and the architectural treatments of Area 1, maintaining a traditional and coherent presentation.
Barrier Gateway Columns & Tree-Line Illumination

A refined lighting scheme for the estate’s main driveway barrier, combining four heritage lamp columns with warm-white tree uplighting on both sides of the approach road. Wedding Gazebo – Architectural & Colour-Change Lighting

A complete warm-white or RGBW architectural upgrade of the Wedding Gazebo, including new feature pendants, in-floor and inground uplighters, step lighting and concealed roof power for seasonal décor. The Five-Star option includes full RGBW flexibility and a concealed crown ring, while the Four-Star scheme provides a warm-white architectural alternative. All versions operate through dedicated ceremony, photography and evening scenes.
Herbaceous Border & Wedding Garden Lighting

A warm-white architectural herbaceous lighting scheme using dedicated 5★ or 4★ lighting kits to enhance height, texture and planting structure around the Wedding Gazebo. This zone creates a refined ceremony backdrop and integrates fully with the Area 3 Spearhead controller for wedding, dusk and evening scenes.
Pathway to Wedding Gazebo – Warm-White Bollard Processional Pathway

A warm-white architectural bollard scheme defining the 35-metre ceremonial pathway to the Wedding Gazebo. The Five-Star option uses ten Vanguard heritage bollards for a grand, estate-grade presentation; the Four-Star option uses eight NiteLED Dome bollards for a refined, cost-efficient interpretation. All cabling, trenching and ducts are installed discreetly and future-proofed for Area 4.
Statement Estate Tree Lighting – Lower Park

Thirteen mature estate trees in the Lower Park are illuminated with dedicated 100W warm-white architectural floodlights arranged across three natural clusters (5–3–5). Each floodlight is mounted on a reinforced concrete pad and powered via a 2.5mm² 5-core SWA backbone. The result is a dramatic, signature night-time feature visible from the hotel, terrace and wedding garden, fully controlled via a dedicated Spearhead controller.
Colonnade Lighting – Royal Academy-Inspired Scheme

A heritage-grade architectural lighting scheme for the rear colonnade, replacing the existing bulkheads with three large hanging lanterns and introducing warm-white uplighting to every column and wing. Two architectural wing-lighting kits extend the effect across the balcony and corner corbels, while each planter receives a discreet sparkle-light socket for seasonal or wedding displays. Pots and planting excluded.
Pond Garden & Lower Terrace – Lanterns, Bollards & Pond Feature Lighting

A full architectural lighting composition for the Pond Garden and lower terrace, using twin-arm Victorian lampposts, heritage bollards, herbaceous lighting and (in the 5★ version only) an underwater pond feature. Event Space – Approach, Pathway & Feature Lighting

A warm-white, estate-grade approach lighting scheme guiding guests from the driveway to the event space. Eight architectural bollards define the route, and a continuous 100-metre herbaceous lighting run adds atmosphere, depth and visual coherence. Three controllable lighting bands allow the hotel to change scenes for guest arrivals, events and late-evening ambience. Fully controlled via the SpearPoint system and aligned with the full estate masterplan.
Architectural Crown Lighting

The Architectural Crown adds a warm-white halo to the main house, illuminating the parapet, chimneys and upper stonework with ultra-narrow uplighters to create Easthampstead Park’s signature evening identity. The effect is subtle, revealing heritage form, supporting wedding photography, and visually tying Areas 1–6 back to the house. Cabling is hidden along the parapet with colour-matched brackets. A dedicated Spearhead control group offers scenes from Night Identity to Grand Arrival and seasonal modes, defining the estate after dark.
