Description of Project
This scheme creates a composed, attractive and safe route from the driveway to the event space, reflecting the warm-white lighting language established across the estate. Four Vanguard heritage bollards mark the gateway at the driveway, creating a clear starting point with gentle, traditional guidance lighting.
Moving along the left-hand edge of the path, a continuous 100-metre herbaceous lighting run is formed using seven overlapping 10-metre herbaceous kits. This produces an uninterrupted warm-white glow that highlights shrubs, grasses and perennial planting, visually matching Areas 3, 4 and 5.
To strengthen architectural rhythm, the five-star specification includes three feature pillar stands placed at key intervals along the approach. The four-star specification simplifies this to one central pillar feature. Both schemes include a LightPro Castor 9 architectural planting kit, providing additional depth to selected trees and structural planting pockets.
The herbaceous run is split into three SpearPoint-controlled lighting bands, enabling the hotel to illuminate the full 100 metres for arrivals, run only the central section during events, or reduce to a short guiding band late in the evening.
Power is supplied from the final driveway bollard via a 2.5mm² 4-core SWA backbone. Four outdoor weatherproof sockets provide clean feeds for the herbaceous kits and support future decorative or seasonal elements without new groundworks. The right-hand side of the path can be upgraded with additional bollards at a later date using the same backbone.
The result is a refined, flexible and visually coherent approach lighting scheme fully integrated into the wider estate.

The five-star scheme delivers a premium, estate-grade guest experience along the approach to the event space. Eight Vanguard Heritage Bollards provide a coherent, traditional warm-white pathway, with four at the driveway threshold and four guiding guests along the left side of the path. Their soft optical control enhances the estate character and creates an elegant approach that photographs beautifully for weddings and evening events.
The 100-metre herbaceous lighting run is created using seven overlapping 10m kits, producing a seamless warm-white wash through the shrubs and perennials. Dividing the run into three SpearPoint-controlled bands allows the hotel to operate full arrival illumination, a central event band, or a reduced late-evening pathway.
Three feature pillar lighting stands provide architectural accents at key moments, giving structure and rhythm to the guest journey. A LightPro Castor 9 planting kit adds further depth by uplighting trees and structural planting pockets.
This premium specification offers the richest architectural character, greatest flexibility and strongest long-term value.

DEFINED INSTALL

The Defined Solution introduces a slim catenary system across the event space, installed via scaffold-tower access and designed to work with the existing hanging lanterns. A central hoop in each wire supports the lantern, with the catenary continuing to the fixings on either side, greatly reducing swaying and improving alignment in all weather. The wires also create a discreet structure for future decoration—such as bunting, ribbons or light festoon drops—without adding new fixings or visual clutter. The result is a tidy, stable and adaptable solution for year-round events.
