This zone covers the full left-hand octagonal wing of Easthampstead Park, including the turret, stone bays and architectural recesses. The lighting scheme enhances the depth, texture and proportions of this distinctive feature, providing warm-white illumination that aligns seamlessly with the entrance frontage and right-hand wing to create a fully balanced architectural elevation.

Description of Project
The left octagonal wing is one of the most characterful architectural elements of Easthampstead Park, marking the transition between the central entrance and the extended façade. Its angles, reveals and turreted upper stonework create natural opportunities for carefully designed architectural lighting that enhances depth and definition after dark. This zone has been developed to celebrate those unique forms using warm-white, heritage-appropriate lighting that aligns with the overall tone established across the frontage.
A series of architectural uplighters are positioned to lift each primary face of the octagonal form, ensuring the stone surfaces are evenly illuminated without producing glare or flattening the structure. The turret receives a dedicated uplight treatment to maintain vertical emphasis, subtly lifting the upper stone detailing and providing a visual bridge to the roofline. These lighting treatments ensure the left wing reads as part of a cohesive elevation, balanced with the central entrance (Zone A) and the right-hand wing (Zone C).
The warm-white 2700K tone ensures that the façade retains its character and avoids the clinical appearance associated with cooler temperatures. Low-voltage lighting systems are used throughout this zone to provide heightened safety, resilience and adaptability. All cabling, trenching and infrastructure are installed using heritage-safe methods and fully reversible fixings. The scheme is controlled through the SpearPoint façade controller, ensuring all scenes are balanced with Zones A, C and D for a unified architectural presentation that enhances both arrival experience and evening ambience.

FIVE STAR PROPOSAL
Our highest-specification scheme using premium architectural fittings
The 5-Star scheme provides full architectural enhancement of the left octagonal wing, including comprehensive uplighting of all primary faces and dedicated treatment of the turret. The design uses multiple Castor 9 fittings to ensure strong vertical emphasis, balanced illumination and coherent integration with neighbouring zones. Warm-white downlighting, extended LV infrastructure and additional accent spots are included where beneficial to highlight stone detailing. All installation works include trenching, reinstatement and fully reversible stone-safe fixings. The scheme is integrated with the SpearPoint controller for advanced scene-setting and coordinated timings. The result is a refined and expressive architectural treatment that greatly enhances the evening presence of this distinctive wing.
NOTES
Noted differences in costs for this quotation between 5 Star Proposal & 8-12-25 Meeting
While both schemes continue to be refined, the Defined Option is now the agreed choice from the meeting. It strengthens the overall composition by extending illumination around the octagonal wing and adding coverage to the turret roof, providing clearer definition of key architectural features. The 5-Star Proposal follows a similar approach in several areas, but the Defined Option delivers a more complete, balanced outcome for this façade section. Both maintain the warm-white palette, respect the heritage character, and integrate fully with the SpearPoint control system.

Defined Solution – 8.12.2025
The Defined Solution delivers the full architectural intent and fitting count of the 5-Star Proposal, illuminating all primary octagon faces, the turret and key stonework in warm white. Heritage-safe, fully reversible fixings protect the building fabric while accurately highlighting the façade’s form and detail.
Enhanced control is achieved through dimmable drivers, full integration with the façade system, optimised arm positions, improved cable routing and strengthened LV distribution. These refinements ensure a cleaner, more resilient installation and balanced, consistent evening illumination.
Additions Included
3 × extra roof-line fittings (turret roof and weather vane)
1 × additional corbel uplighter (vertical stone detailing)

DEFINED COSTINGS
Refined after 9.12.25 discussion: cost-effective, high-quality architectural fittings.
Enhanced Architectural Upgrade Note:
To refine the vertical lift and provide a more expressive architectural reveal, the lighting allocation has been elevated from four warm-white low-voltage fittings to a curated suite of nine precision 4-watt architectural uplights. This enriched configuration enhances corbel definition, strengthens the turret reveal and ensures full continuity with the wider façade lighting strategy.
This enhanced treatment adds £380.00 to the materials allocation.

INSTALLATION & POWER NOTES
All existing feeds in this zone are re-routed and consolidated to support the new low-voltage architectural scheme. A dedicated LV radial network supplies the Castor 9 fittings, served by a 100W transformer positioned within the Area 1 infrastructure plan. Trenching and reinstatement follow the agreed PC sum, with all stone fixings installed using non-invasive, heritage-safe methods. Power alignment is routed through the SpearPoint controller for balanced dimming, timed scenes and coordinated performance across Zones A, B, C and D. This approach ensures future flexibility, improved resilience and full integration with the central façade lighting strategy.
