Description of Project
Area 1A represents the main architectural focus of Easthampstead Park’s entrance façade. The grand stone porch, carved archway, pilasters and historic coat of arms define the hotel’s first impression. This lighting design introduces a warm-white architectural treatment that enhances the depth, symmetry and texture of the stonework, while remaining sensitive to the heritage setting.
Three LightPro Architecture & Tree Spot Kits are deployed: one on the left façade, one on the right, and one dedicated to the upper levels and roof flagpole. These are supplied from three new power points positioned to give clean, logical feeds back to a SpearPoint façade controller. Together, the kits provide precise highlighting of pilasters, structural framing and the central crest, creating a balanced, sculpted elevation visible from both the driveway and forecourt.
The existing cool-white dwarf-wall downlighters at the ramp are converted to warm-white to unify colour temperature. Installation uses heritage-safe, reversible fixings and discreet LV cable routes. All systems run through the SpearPoint controller for dimming, scene scheduling and night-time balancing, making this zone the visual anchor for the wider frontage.

FIVE STAR PROPOSAL
Our highest-specification scheme using premium architectural fittings
The five-star scheme for Area 1A provides a complete and architecturally sensitive lighting treatment for the hotel’s central entrance. Using three LightPro architectural kits, the pilasters, porch stonework and the historic coat of arms are illuminated with high precision, restoring symmetry, depth and visual hierarchy across the façade. Each uplighter is positioned with care, using reversible heritage-safe methods and concealed LV cabling to ensure the installation remains both discreet and fully compliant. Existing power feeds are rationalised and redirected to a SpearPoint façade controller, enabling tailored dimming, sequencing and seasonal presentation settings.
The installation includes an allocation for scaffold tower access, ensuring safe, neat and compliant working methods at upper levels and around the flagpole. Cable routes follow architectural lines or mortar joints wherever possible, with terminations housed in weather-rated, low-visibility enclosures. Warm-white conversion of the ramp downlighters ensures colour consistency across the entrance approach.
Extended night-time balancing allows each fitting to be micro-adjusted so that the façade reads as a coherent, sculpted plane of warm-white light. This produces an elegant arrival moment that sets the visual standard for the rest of the estate. It also underpins seasonal and event lighting enhancements across the entrance and adjoining façade zones.
NOTES
Noted differences in costs for this quotation between 5 Star Proposal & 8-12-25 Meeting
The 5-star proposal and the Defined Scheme share the same fittings, the same architectural intent and the same final lighting effect. The only differences arise from practical optimisations identified during the site meeting with Benjamin and relate strictly to method—not to outcome. These include tidier and more resilient cable routes, adjusted mounting positions for improved accuracy, refined access planning for the upper façade, and updated control feed paths into the left and right wings.
All three architectural kits remain exactly as quoted, and pricing stays the same. No lighting coverage, beam specification or feature illumination has been reduced or substituted. Instead, the Defined Scheme simply reflects the real-world adjustments that ensure the installation is neater, more technically robust and more sensitive to Easthampstead Park’s historic fabric. In short: the experience, the visuals and the end result remain identical to the 5-star proposal—now fine-tuned for accuracy, longevity and full transparency.
DEFINED INSTALL
Our cost efficient-specification scheme using premium architectural fittings
The Defined Scheme delivers the full architectural impact set out in the 5-star proposal, retaining every fitting, every lighting outcome and the complete warm-white façade treatment. Following the on-site review with Benjamin, the design has been refined to ensure every beam line, mounting point and control feed aligns perfectly with the building’s geometry and heritage sensitivities. The three architectural kits remain unchanged and continue to illuminate the porch, pilasters, coat of arms and upper façade with the same sculpted balance originally proposed.
While details have been sharpened, such as optimising arm angles, refining cable routes, and ensuring clean, logical power distribution, the overall lighting effect remains identical. These refinements enhance accuracy, longevity and visual consistency without altering the original specification or increasing cost. As always, Eagle and Spear remain committed to keeping our promises: delivering transparent, precise and heritage-respectful installations that strengthen Easthampstead Park’s signature arrival moment.

INSTALLATION & POWER NOTES
All installation works in this zone follow a high-standard, heritage-safe method designed for Easthampstead Park. Three new power points are installed and routed discreetly to feed the architectural kits and SpearPoint controller, with each run including trenching, cable laying, backfill and careful reinstatement. Existing supplies are rationalised to create a cleaner, more resilient distribution layout. LV cabling is used for maximum safety and reliability, with weather-rated junctions and fully compliant terminations. Cable routes are concealed wherever possible within mortar lines, architectural breaks or shadow gaps, and all fixings are reversible to protect the stone fabric. Upper façade and flagpole connections are accessed using tower sections, ensuring safe working at height. Final aiming, testing and compliance checks are completed after dark to deliver an even, elegant architectural finish.
