There is something rather lovely about receiving a Sussex Wildlife Trust membership badge. Small, neat, quietly proud and a reminder that gardens are not just outdoor rooms for us, but living places for birds, bats, insects, hedgehogs, pollinators and all the unseen life that makes a garden feel properly alive.

Sussex Wildlife Trust describes itself as a conservation charity for everyone who cares about nature in Sussex, protecting local wildlife, managing habitats, inspiring the next generation and helping landowners adopt wildlife-friendly practices. It also manages more than 30 nature reserves across Sussex.
