Project Information
Our Design - We created an elaborate, layered lighting scheme designed for entertaining: Bollard lighting to guide guests safely through the garden, spotlights to highlight planting, features, and architectural details, hanging lanterns in the garden house porch to give charm and style, pond lighting to bring the 1930s pond to life with sparkle and depth, alongside the lighting design, we integrated full electrical supplies for pond pumps, pond lighting, the garden house, and outdoor sockets for future use.
The Installation - Our Part P compliant team installed durable LED fittings throughout the garden, carefully concealing cabling to protect planting and hard landscaping. Power runs were designed to
serve not only the lighting but also the practical needs of the garden house, pond, and future expansion.
The Result - The once dark sunken garden has been transformed into a stunning evening venue. Bollards and spots create safe and atmospheric pathways, the pond glows with character, and the oak framed garden house is now both functional and inviting after dark. The owners can host parties, relax in their garden office, or simply enjoy their garden as a glowing sanctuary every night of the year.

Energy Efficiency - All fittings are high-quality, low-energy LEDs, zoned for different uses. The owners can choose which areas to light, keeping energy use efficient
Smart Controls - The system combines smart app based controls with timers and PIRs, giving the owners flexibility to run daily programmes or trigger instant light when people approach ideal for both parties and security.

The Brief - The owners wanted their Italianate sunken garden to become a true party space. With a 1930s pond at its heart and a newly built oak-framed garden house doubling as a garden office, the garden had character but lacked lighting. The aim was to make the entire lower garden usable and atmospheric at night, while adding practical power for pond equipment and the new garden house.
