The Brief
Scope & Client Requirements
Lighting design is guided by how a space is used, how it is experienced after dark, and how it will evolve over time. Each fitting is carefully selected and positioned with intent, allowing for adjustment to suit different seasons, planting changes, and desired visual effects. This adaptable approach ensures the installation remains balanced, practical, and visually comfortable—offering flexibility in mood and emphasis while continuing to perform beautifully both now and in the years ahead.

Location (Existing)
The customer requests a design and quotation for back garden lighting. The garden includes two flower beds, one vegetable bed, and a zigzag walking path with a small bridge crossing a pond. Lighting is required to improve safety and enhance visual appeal. Wall-mounted lights are requested along one side of the fence. One or two free-standing lights are desired along the walking path, with flexibility for alternative professional suggestions. Ground-mounted and uplighting fixtures are requested to highlight trees and key garden features, including subtle pond and bridge illumination. All lighting should be low-voltage LED, weather-resistant, and discreetly integrated to create a balanced, functional, and attractive garden lighting scheme.

The Plan
Proposed Lighting Approach
Lighting design is guided by how a space is used, how it is experienced after dark, and how it will evolve over time. Each fitting is carefully selected and positioned with intent, allowing for adjustment to suit different seasons, planting changes, and desired visual effects. This adaptable approach ensures the installation remains balanced, practical, and visually comfortable—offering flexibility in mood and emphasis while continuing to perform beautifully both now and in the years ahead.
We propose a bespoke low-voltage LED garden lighting scheme using the Lightpro professional 12V system, designed to enhance safety, atmosphere, and key garden features. Subtle Lightpro pathway and spot lights will illuminate the zigzag walk and bridge area, improving visibility while maintaining a soft, elegant finish. Lightpro wall lights will be installed along one side of the fence to add ambient boundary lighting. Selected Lightpro adjustable spotlights and ground uplights will be used to highlight trees, flower beds, and focal features, creating depth and visual interest after dark. Discreet, low-glare lighting will be provided near the vegetable bed for practical use without disturbing planting. All fittings are energy-efficient, weather-resistant, and discreetly installed with concealed cabling and a central transformer. The result is a balanced, professional lighting design that enhances the garden’s usability, appearance, and value.

Light Fittings
Proposed Lighting Fittings - 4 Key Foundation Fittings
The proposed light fittings have been carefully selected to deliver a warm, natural and refined night-time appearance, enhancing planting, trees and architectural features without harshness or glare. All fittings are professional-grade, designed specifically for permanent outdoor use, with robust construction, high-quality materials and precise optical control.
A warm white light palette is used throughout the scheme to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere that complements planting, masonry and timber finishes. This colour temperature reveals texture and depth while remaining subtle and comfortable to the eye. Carefully controlled beam angles ensure light is placed only where needed, resulting in a cohesive, elegant scheme with excellent visual balance and long-term reliability.

Light Fittings
Design Flexibility & Long-Term Partnership
We design each lighting scheme with care and artistic judgement, and occasionally the final balance is refined during installation once the garden is experienced at night. Should additional fittings be required — or if fewer are needed — adjustments will be made using the clearly stated unit rates within this quotation.
We believe in transparent, fair pricing and open communication at every stage. Our intention is not simply to install a lighting scheme, but to build a long-term external lighting relationship — maintaining, adjusting and evolving the system as the garden matures.
Garden lighting is not static; it grows with the landscape. We remain available to refine and support your scheme so it continues to look its best for years to come.
