Project Information
The Brief - The owners of a mock Tudor house wanted lighting that respected the traditional style of their home while enhancing their more contemporary woodland garden. The scheme needed to improve safety and security along the driveway and garden paths, highlight architectural and artistic features such as an oak framed lytch gate and metal sculptures, and provide practical power supplies for pond equipment, garden machinery, and the shed.
Our Design - We designed a layered lighting plan that balanced traditional charm with modern garden drama. Soft, warm lighting emphasised the Tudor character of the house and the oak lytch
gate, while subtle up-lighting brought the woodland trees and metal sculptures to life. Functional power points were added for pond pumps and lighting, utility sockets for garden machinery, and a power supply to the shed.
The Installation - Our Part P compliant team installed discreet, weatherproof fittings and hidden cabling to protect the natural garden feel. Each fitting was chosen for durability and positioned with
care to ensure the lighting highlighted features without glare.
The Result
The property is now both practical and enchanting after dark. The driveway is safer and more welcoming, the lytch gate and sculptures glow with atmosphere, and the woodland garden has a magical quality at night. At the same time, the scheme provides real day to day
value with power for garden tools and the shed.
Future - Proof Power Supplies, this £2,500 scheme included: Pond pump and pond lighting supply, utility sockets for garden machinery
power supply to the shed, outdoor sockets for seasonal lighting
Energy Efficiency
All fittings use modern LEDs, zoned to reduce waste and keep running costs low.
Smart Controls - The system combines smart app controls with PIR sensors. Daily programmes create a regular evening glow, while PIR sensors ensure instant light when gates are opened or people are detected delivering both atmosphere and security
